What is Wrongful Death? |
|
| A wrongful death is the unnecessary death of an individual which
results from the negligence of a person or organization, either
directly or indirectly. A wrongful death claim is filed by our
attorneys on behalf of the spouse, children, parents, or other
beneficiaries of the deceased party against the person or organization
responsible for the death. Wrongful death claims often result from auto accidents and motorcycle accidents, but workplace deaths
frequently result in wrongful death suits as well. In cases where a
person's death was caused by a defective or unsafe product, product liability law may place the manufacturer or designer of the product at fault, and under premises liability law
the owner of the property where a wrongful death occurred may be held
responsible if the death was caused by unsafe conditions. |
