My name is John McElyea. Our firm is McElyea, Santos & Barnard. The three principals in the firm are myself John McElyea, Scott Santos, and Paul Barnard. Our firm concentrates its practice and really practices solely in the area of tort and insurance law. In layman’s terms that means we help out people who have problems primarily with insurance companies whether they be involved in accidents or otherwise problems with claims and that sort of thing. Of course within the field of torts also know generally as personal injury law there are several areas of practice in which we specialize, and we really handle the full gambit. The full range of the practice areas under tort law that would be automobile accident cases, premises liability cases, products liability cases, medical malpractice cases, nursing home cases, social security cases, case against the drug makers who have defective drugs, which is a type of products liability case, and really any other accident type case that is out there. We help people who have been injured in an accident and getting them compensated for the injuries that they have sustained in the accident so they can take care of themselves and their families and receive that just compensation that they are due under the laws of the State of Florida. We do have a very good reputation in the community. I have been told that by number of lawyers, folks who we have represented, judges, and people in the community in general.
