I consider myself a very fortunate man. I have a wonderful wife that I have been married to for 16 years. I have a son named Christopher who is now 8 and those are lights of my life. I have been practicing law for 20 years now. I started out as a Bronx District attorney and assistant district attorney in the Bronx where I got a lot of trial experience that was a great place to start coming out of law school. I put a lot of criminals in jail and got a lot of experience in that job. I then went and worked for insurance companies, different insurance companies for about eight years doing the other side of plaintiff’s personal injury cases representing the insured in several cases and I think that is a great benefit now that I am doing plaintiff's work because I understand how the insurance companies operate and how they think and how they try to defend the cases. Since that time for the last seven years now I have been doing strictly plaintiff's personal injury cases. I have realized that I much prefer doing that side of the case because I get a lot more satisfaction out of representing people that have been injured and trying to get them just compensation as opposed to trying to save the insurance companies money and increase their profits, and so I find it much more satisfying to be representing the underdog as opposed to representing the large insurance carriers.
