My name is Paul Barnard. I grew up right here in the Orlando, Florida area. I am a fourth generation Floridian. I went to undergrad at Florida State University and law school at St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida. I originally got into the practice of law simply because I found law to be an interesting subject matter. After beginning practicing I found that I enjoyed working with people. I started off working in the social security disability field and I had a lot of interactions with individuals all throughout the Southeast and found that I enjoyed making those connections with clients, working with them to achieve an end. I began working more specifically in the area of personal injury, accidents, and insurance disputes. Again the main thing that I enjoy with regard to working in the area of personal injury is working with people, helping people who have been put in a situation that they did not ask for and they are unfamiliar with and helping them to guide them through that process and achieve a goal and an end in which they earn a better position than they would have been otherwise. In the firm, I handle cases involving all types of injuries specifically auto accidents or something that we handle and I handle personally here an awful lot. If you drive the roads around here and if you have small children in the car like I often do with my kids, you will quickly realize that it can be very a dangerous environment. We see a lot of injured people from the traffic and the roadways here in Orlando. We also handle all types of injury cases, premises liability, that's your slip and fall, trip and fall type cases where people are injured at theme parks and restaurants and stores all throughout the area. I also do handle social security disability cases.
